分析师表示：“纽约商品交易所期金面临持续卖盘，1320美元上方的卖单足以阻止涨势。”
美国旧金山联储主席威廉姆斯(John Williams)周三(2月7日)表示，美国经济可应对进一步的渐进升息，并称本周稍早的全球股市波动并未从根本上改变他对货币政策及经济前景的看法。
分析师表示：“美联储立场的转变，以及获得更多鹰派支持，是让多头最难受的因素。”
美国国会两党领袖周三罕见地放下分歧，达成一份为期两年的预算协议，将政府支出增加近3000亿美元，希望藉此平息华府内有关财政政策的争吵。此一消息也令美债承压。
分析师表示，美元指数上涨，继续推动投资者结清黄金和其他贵金属的头寸，黄金并非在任何情况下都是避险资产，特别是在利率快速上升的时候。
