美联储加息次数决定通胀程度
一些美联储官员预计，2018年美联储将激进加息。对此，金融市场却并不赞同。不过，分析师表示，这也不是绝对的，特别是如果通胀回升，那么明年美联储收紧政策的可能性将加大。如果加息步伐变快，那么美元多头在2018年有望再一次迎来辉煌时刻。
今年12月，美联储宣布将联邦基金利率目标区间上调25个基点到1.25%，这是美联储今年以来第三次加息。美联储官员预计明年这种加息步伐会重演。但市场对此却并不确定。
分析师表示：“按照美联储官员的预测，美联储2018年可能会加息三次。而现在期货市场定价的次数只有两次。”
美国经济和就业市场多年来一直在扩大。今年第三季度经济增长率为3.3％，为三年来最高水平，而美联储预计2018年经济增长率将为2.5％。美国劳工部公布非农就业报告称，美国11月非农就业人数增加22.8万，每月非农新增就业平均数值为17.4万，不足2016年的平均数值18.7万。
尽管如此，美联储官员在12月会议后的政策声明中指出，通胀仍低于长期2％的目标。而备受美联储关注的核心个人消费支出物价指数在11月份同比上涨了1.5％。该指标自2012年年中以来一直低于美联储2%的目标水平，其走势或将决定美联储明年的加息节奏。
分析师表示：“在财政刺激措施下，如果通货膨胀率仍然低于目标水平，而中性利率也没有令人信服的表现，那么美联储将利率提高到2%上方将变得更加谨慎。我们认为美联储会继续加息，但一旦达到2％的水平，美联储将收紧政策。”
分析师表示，明年加息三次还是一个挺“合理的预期”。和其他人一样，他也认为通货膨胀率上升会增加政策收紧的可能性。
如果真要说的话，美联储加息次数上行风险要比下行风险更大。目前三次加息的预期比较多，但是加息三次以上也是很有可能的。而显然，接下来的数据，特别是通胀数据，将是多次加息的推动力。
鲍威尔将接替耶伦成为新的美联储主席，但是市场观察家们并不认为美联储的政策将发生实质性的变化。
