英国大选:两党领袖电视直播针锋相对
6月8日英国大选前的竞选进入最后阶段,两大主要竞争对手间的辩论如火如荼,两大党领袖——现任英国首相特蕾莎梅和反对党工党领袖科尔宾亮相直播电视节目,直面选民和媒体的严苛“拷问”。
虽然梅拒绝与科尔宾进行正面交锋的电视辩论,但是此次的直播节目中主持人辛辣的提问和观众席直言不讳的发言令现场热度丝毫不弱。
梅被反复质问的焦点在于保守党对于此前宣布的养老政策改革计划的态度转变,而科尔宾则被指责曾支持爱尔兰共和军(IRA)。虽然双方的支持者都在节目后声称己方在此一战中获胜,但实际上二者的表现均乏善可陈。
英国退欧大臣戴维斯表示:“首相将问题回归本质——谁可以达成退欧协议,谁能确保我们的经济、我们的公共服务和我们的国家安全。”
而科尔宾的发言人则称:“特蕾莎梅在削减警力、为我们的国家医疗系统和学校集资方面困难重重,而保守党在竞选宣言中的养老政策也未经数日就行更改,”
在节目中,主持人对两人都毫不留情,他声称梅对养老政策的改变如惊弓之鸟,又揭露科尔宾没有将他长期坚持的核裁军列入工党竞选宣言。
节目中,科尔宾的最尴尬时刻来自于观众席中对其曾公开支持IRA进行指责。另一个观众称不会投票给工党,因为科尔宾提升公司税、最低工资,并对私立学校引入增值税的政策是“短视的”。还有一位观众发言称,喜欢工党的宣言,但不认为科尔宾可以执掌这个国家。
梅的境遇也不遑多让,她被观众席中的一位警察指责主导了“摧毁性的”警力削减,并被一名助产士质问如何解释国家医疗系统的长期资金不足。
而国际对于双方最大的焦点仍然在于大选后不久即将开战的退欧谈判。对此,梅再次强调,没有协议好过不利协议,而科尔宾则肯定地回答:“我们会得到一个协议”。
