美联储卡什卡利：上周维持利率不变是正确之举
美国明尼亚波利斯联储主席卡什卡利周一(9月26日)表示，美联储上周决定维持利率不变是“正确之举”，因为通胀率依然较低，而且有更多工人回到劳动力大军。
美联储官员上周三(9月21日)以7-3的投票结果决定维持指标隔夜拆款利率目标在0.25%-0.5%不变。卡什卡利目前作为非投票委员参与美联储政策讨论，不过明年将有投票权。
他表示，“我的确认为这是正确之举。我支持会上作出的决定。对我来说，通胀过低的风险压过了过高的风险，这意味着我们在调整利率之前还要等一段时间。”
数据显示，美国8月失业率为4.9%，低于许多分析师认为的长期可持续水平，而多数美联储官员预期失业率还将进一步下降。同时，通胀率四年来一直远低于美联储2%的目标水准。
卡什卡利指出，他认为自己既不是货币政策鸽派，也不是鹰派，并称观察通胀、通胀预期以及失业率的情况，来决定最合适的利率水平。
他表示，“如果数据变化而且通胀率上升，或者通胀预期上升，又或者我们认为整体失业率迅速下降、抑或我们相信就业市场闲置劳动力已经耗尽，那么届时我或许会与鹰派站在一起。”
