美联储梅斯特：尽管不确定性上升 但美国经济仍稳固
美国克利夫兰联储主席梅斯特周四(7月7日)在接受采访时称，有迹象显示薪资增长开始加速，确认美国经济基本面“非常稳固”的评估。她表示自己仍是对经济前景较为乐观的一派。
不过，她在当天的采访中也承认不确定性上升，可能会改变美联储官员有关短期利率目标将渐进上调的预期。
作为联邦公开市场委员会(FOMC)2016年货币政策的投票委员，梅斯特相对持鹰派立场。她指出，在作出是否上调短期利率的决定之前，美联储有时间评估英国公投退欧的影响。
美联储(FED)周三(7月6日)发布6月会议纪要称，在英国退欧公投前一周召开的政策会议上，美联储决策者维持利率不变，因为美国劳动力市场和金融稳定的不确定性增加，威胁到决策者们的前景展望。
6月14-15日会议的纪要显示，FOMC认为等待6月23日英国公投结果出炉是审慎之举。当时，公投结果依然难以预料。最后结果是决定脱离欧盟，导致英镑汇率大跌，并导致债券收益率跌至创纪录低点。
梅斯特上周五(7月1日)曾在伦敦发表讲话称，英国脱欧给美国经济带来风险，但当前评估其对美国经济前景的影响尚为时过早，美联储不应让缺乏清晰性转移注意力进而影响加息计划。
她表示，上个月美联储会议举行之时，渐进加息路径仍是合适的计划，但鉴于英国将举行公投，继续等待是谨慎之举。
梅斯特补充道，“等待太久会增加金融稳定风险，并提升未来我们必须采取更激进行动的可能性，这给经济前景带来一系列风险。”
