7月23日讯 ，新西兰央行周四将基准利率下调25个基点至3.00%,并警告称因经济增长前景疲弱和低通胀该行可能进一步放宽政策。
新西兰央行称，当前的经济前景预期较6月时更为疲软。
新西兰央行宣布降息后，纽元兑美元跳升至0.6650美元高位，降息决议发布前报0.6570美元，上周纽元兑美元曾跌至六年低点0.6498美元。
目前美国的基准利率为0-0.25%，日本为0-0.1%，欧元区为0.05%，澳大利亚为2.5%。
新西兰央行称，纽元已经大幅下滑，鉴于商品价格疲弱，纽元需要进一步贬值。
新西兰央行预计通胀年率在明年年初接近目标中点，不确定纽元下滑要多久才能影响到通胀。
在海外市场方面，新西兰央行指出，美国预期的收紧货币政策的影响仍不确定。中国和欧洲的情势发展令市场波动性上升。
