据德国《明镜》周刊4月1日报道，当地时间4月1日，德国总理默克尔（Angela Merkel）与乌克兰总理亚采纽克（Arseni Jazenjuk）在柏林举行会谈。期间，默克尔对乌克兰“显著的改革步伐”表示赞赏，并承诺继续支持乌克兰的经济建设。
报道称，德国即将提供给乌克兰一笔5亿欧元（约合人民币33.35亿元）的贷款，其中的3亿欧元（约合人民币20.021亿元）用于基础设施建设和卫生事业，其余的2亿欧元（约合人民币13.35亿元）将成为乌克兰的国家预算。此外，国际货币基金组织（IMF）提供给乌克兰的175亿美元（约合人民币1084.59亿元）贷款也已经于今年3月到位。
默克尔在承诺经济援助的同时还敦促乌政府履行停火协议，使乌克兰东部地区“更加平静”。据悉，虽然停火协议已经生效，但冲突并未完全终止。
