费城联储总裁普洛瑟淡化通胀偏低和美元走强问题

美国费城联邦储备银行总裁普洛瑟周二表示，美国通胀率离美联储的2%目标并不是太远，而最近美元升值的影响应该有限。普洛瑟接受美国国家广播公司商业新闻台(CNBC)采访时表示，“美国联邦公开市场委员会(FOMC)的多数委员，包括我自己在内，都预期通胀会逐渐回升。”他并指出，“美元走强可能会造成一些影响，但我认为影响将相对较小。”
此外，普洛瑟表示，接近于零的美国利率太低，应会令美联储感到紧张。即便是通胀率低于美联储希望的2%，也没有理由把利率保持在当前的危机时期水平上，尤其是美国的失业率现在这么低。
