黄金价格已经连续两周收出涨势。本周黄金价格已经回升至6周高位，黄金价格此前一度出现数年来少有的连续下跌趋势，但是在这之后，黄金受到包括人民币汇率调整以及全球股市下挫等因素的影响回升。
美国商品期货交易委员会(CFTC)周五(8月21日)公布的周度报告显示，截至8月18日当周，对冲基金和基金经理持有的Comex黄金净头寸转为净多，长达四周的史上首次净空头持仓终结。
具体数据显示，截至8月18日当周，COMEX黄金投机净多头头寸减少15557手，至12764手。上个月，黄金净头寸自2006年开始追踪此数据以来首次转为净空。因人民币贬值引发避险需求，黄金本周强劲反弹至4周高位。
Kitco周五(8月21日)公布了本周对华尔街专家们以及大众投资者的黄金调查结果。数据显示，黄金在本周后半段的大幅攀升已经使市场情绪异常高涨，大众投资者以及分析人士普遍认为下周黄金价格仍然会继续上涨
