在长期实施史无前例的超宽松货币政策后，美国和英国央行正在互别苗头，争做率先升息的主要经济体。
尽管不是马上就会升息，但美国联邦储备委员会(美联储/FED)主席耶伦和英国央行总裁卡尼在过去一周均暗示，升息的脚步正在接近。
然而全球经济表现并非事事都像英国和美国经济看来的那样乐观。
在欧元区，欧洲央行(ECB)总裁德拉吉已承诺在可预见的未来将维持利率在低位，并誓言直到明年9月都会每月购买600亿欧元的资产。
在亚洲，中国决策者正在设法控制股市的动荡走势，股市不稳将可能损及逆转经济成长放缓的努力。三位消息人士周五对路透表示，中国央行以外汇储备委托贷款债转股的形式，向国家开发银行CHDB.UL注资480亿美元。
日本仍在实施大规模的量化宽松政策，并才刚刚调降其经济成长展望。
其他地方，瑞典、韩国、瓜地马拉及阿塞拜疆等情况迥异的国家，在过去三至四周均祭出降息举措。七国集团(G7)国家，同时也是美国最亲密的发达贸易伙伴国–加拿大，周四则意外降息。
未来一周全球经济状况将更加明朗化。一些大型经济体将在周五公布采购经理人指数(PMI)初值。路透调查预计，美国、法国、德国及欧元区整体民间部门活动趋势将基本不变。
