美联社引用也门安全部门和当地目击者的消息称，空袭击中了什叶派胡塞武装部署在亚丁附近的坦克和一些据点。与此同时，沙特军队也开始动用火炮轰击也门西北部靠近沙特的边境地区。目前还没有关于袭击造成伤亡的准确报道。
5月12日，沙特宣布开始对也门进行为期5天的人道主义停火并暂停空袭。当天，也门国内基本实现停火。但随后几天，也门大小冲突不断。在也门南部多个省份，胡塞武装组织和支持也门总统哈迪的部落武装之间的交火一直没有中断。据亚丁市一位居民表示：“停火后什么都没变，他们仍在打仗，胡塞也保持对也门的控制。也门政府则流亡国外，对国内毫无掌握。”
联合国人权官员表示，自今年3月下旬以来，以沙特为首的多国部队发起的空袭行动已经造成超过1600人死亡、至少6200人受伤，并导致大约45万难民流离失所。
