据彭博新闻社报道，最大石油出口国沙特原油产量连续两个月增长，达到至少三十年以来的最高水平。在美国经济增长呈现放缓迹象之际，沙特的产量增长提高了OPEC的原油总产量。
据一位海湾地区石油业消息人士周二透露，沙特4月的原油日产量为1030.8万桶，这是全球需求走强的迹象。沙特3月份的原油日产量为1029万桶。
该消息人士称，沙特对市场的日供应量为1036万桶。这表明需求强劲，特别是来自亚洲的需求，同时表明夏季国内消费增加。对市场的供应量(包括国内市场和出口)可能与产量不一致，取决于库存变动。
另据消息人士称，沙特6月将按合约向至少两个亚洲买家全额供应原油，持平5月。
分析师和交易员表示，随着新储油设施投入使用且有新买家浮现，今年稍后中国原油需求料将增加；中国4月原油进口量达到创纪录的737万桶/日，首次超过美国成为全球最大的原油进口国。国际能源署(IEA)预估中国2015年原油需求将增长2.7%。
