据路透社报道，美联储主席耶伦表示，现在长期利率水平偏低，当央行上调基准利率的时候有可能会大幅上升。
“长期利率处于非常低的水平，”耶伦周三在华盛顿发表演讲后回答提问时说。在首次加息之后“我们可能看到长期利率急剧上升。”
大多数美联储官员预计，他们今年将会在2006年以来首次加息。
耶伦说：“我们在2013年的减码风暴中就看到过这一幕，当时利率非常急剧上升。”她所指的是2013年年中时任美联储主席伯南克表示在未来几次会议上可能决定开始减少债券收购所引发的债市震荡。
耶伦还表示，在2008年12月份以来一直将利率维持在近零水平之后，美联储必须警惕金融稳定面临的威胁。
她说看到杠杆贷款市场追逐收益率的迹象，而美联储正在努力提高该市场的承销标准。她还表示，股市估值水平“相当高”。
即便如此，耶伦同时指出，金融稳定风险温和，并不高。
