据路透社报道，美国民间部门3月新增就业人数为逾一年来最低，制造业活动也触及近两年低位，这些新迹象表明第一季经济成长大幅减速。
严冬、美元强势以及全球需求疲弱打压美国经济。虽然不利天气的影响开始消退，但美元涨势或仍压抑和限制产出反弹。
经济成长疲软可能促使美国联邦储备委员会(美联储，FED)把预期中的加息推迟至9月。美联储自2006年以来一直没有加息。
“第一季经济再次遇到阻力…这是会让美联储难以在年中升息的多项因素之一，”芝加哥Mesirow Financial首席分析师Diane Swonk表示。
民间就业服务机构ADP周三发布的报告显示，美国3月民间就业人数增加18.9万人，为2014年1月以来的最低增幅。
数据远低于经济学家预期的22.5万，几乎所有部门的就业增长均放缓，其中制造业就业人数为2014年1月以来首次下降。
ADP就业报告由ADP和Moody’s Analytics联合编制，在周五的政府非农就业报告前公布。
但ADP就业报告在预测非农报告时常常不太准，这增大了周五就业数据较分析师预期更疲弱的可能，路透调查预测3月非农就业岗位或增加24.5万个，2月为增长29.5万。
另据美国供应管理协会(ISM)报告，3月制造业指数降至51.5，为2013年5月以来最低，2月为52.9。
数据高于50表明制造业领域出现扩张。
