現貨黃金截止至2019年8月23日2：00收盤于1498.9美元/盎司，昨日黃金在亞盤時段保持震盪運行，直至歐盤的到來，黃金隨之而來迎來下跌行情，最終到達區間低點位置1492美元/盎司位置受支撐承托止跌並展開反彈，整體行情依舊維持在1508-1492美元/盎司區間內運行。
製造業PMI資料不理想：美國8月Markit製造業PMI初值實際公佈49.9，預期50.5，前值50.4，這是自2009年9月以來製造業以來首次跌至50下方。該指數低於50榮枯線意味著經濟活動下降，8月資料可能加劇對美國經濟步入衰退的擔憂，海外經濟疲弱和國際貿易局勢拖累了美國經濟。資料還顯示，美國8月Markit綜合PMI初值實際公佈50.9，前值52.6。美國8月Markit服務業PMI初值實際公佈50.9，預期52.8，前值53。
9月降息概率下降：三位美聯儲決策者異口同聲反對有關美國經濟需要更低利率的觀點，預示著下個月美聯儲會議上對於是否再次降息將有一場激烈辯論。投資者已經充分定價美聯儲9月17日至18日會議降息25個基點，美聯儲內的異議可能會限制一些人提倡的更大幅度行動的可能性——其中包括美國總統特朗普。隨著美聯儲官員意見產生分歧，市場對於美聯儲9月份降息50個基點的預期下滑。
