以大田环球贵金属的伦敦金交易为例，假设现在投资者是用MT4软件进行交易。交易类型中，投资者可以选择挂单交易，然后设置好投资者心中的入场价、同时设置好止损价、盈利价，最重要的是设置好投资者想要交易的时间。那么，当投资者设置的交易时间段内，如果伦敦金行情符合投资者的入场价，则系统帮助投资者自动下单，然后在达到止损价位或盈利价位的时候，自动平仓。
二、挂单交易的特点。
挂单交易的好于在于，如果投资者是晚上1点半之后要休息或者临时有事情要出门，则可以选择挂单交易，同时，还要上报一个挂单截止时间，这样你就可以安心做其他事情了。而且相对于即时交易来说，如果投资者是选择做多的话，如果开盘价是当天最低价，那么挂单就可以帮助你买个最低价来获得贵金属盈利；反之，如果投资者是选择做空的话，如果开盘价是当天最高价，那么挂单就可以帮助你卖个最高价来获得贵金属盈利。
同时，小编提醒各位炒白银、炒黄金入门的投资者，挂单交易的前提条件是投资者得判断准确。比如当天大盘一定要高开低走(卖)，或低开高走(买)。否则，一旦投资者选择挂单交易之后，系统就一定要等开盘后才能撤单，否则是废单(即撤单无效)，不过该挂单交易在你设置的时间里都是有效的。
