顾比均线被应用在K线图对应的技术分析盘面，它分为两大均线组合，一组为长均线组合，一组为短均线组合，长均线组合为30日，35日，40日，45日、50日，55日和60日均线，短均线组合为3日，5日，8日、10日、12和15日均线，长短均线组合组成的均线系统，就称作顾比移动复合平均线，这就构成了炒黄金盘面的顾比均线。
炒黄金顾比均线中的短均线组合反映的是黄金价格走势的短期走势，侧面透露出短期交易员的交易倾向和交易行为，而长均线组合反映的是黄金价格走势的中长期走势，侧面透露出长线投资者的投资行为。

所以炒黄金顾比均线在应用上一般说用来研究黄金价格的趋势的，若短期均线组合向上穿过长期均线组合时，黄金价格将迎来一波上涨的行情，若短期均线组合向下穿过长期均线组合，金价则会下滑。
下面我们来看一看顾比均线在不同形态下，我们该作出怎样的入市计划，
1、 当长期均线组合从低点向上发散，且形态与短期均线组合呈向上运行格局，这时适合做多。
2、 当长期均线组合处于走平状态，短期均线组合从下方向上穿过长期均线系统，这时适合做多。
3、 当长期均线组合从扩散状态向下且出现向下聚拢，短期均线组合向下穿过长期均线组合，这时适合做空。
4、 当长期均线组合向下扩散，跟随短线均线组合的向下扩散而趋于聚拢，这时适合做空。
另外，在长短线两种各自不同的均线组合中，组合中的均线粘合则代表行情即将发生反转，均线发散则代表行情将会延续。
由此可见，炒黄金的顾比均线，它采用一种较为特别的均线分析方法，更好地清晰我们的炒金思路，使我们能够更好地把握黄金价格的后市走向，从而提高了炒黄金套利的可能。
