如果客户想进行境外投资，资金应该流入到境外黄金投资公司，而不是由国内某家代理公司任意收取，如果个人资金被收取，不管是人民币还是没有，都是有问题的。
任何地方进行个人黄金投资，第一步要通过网络或者电话途径，查询该公司的官方网站有没有注册，甚至实地考察该公司的营业资质、公司是否受该地金管所监管等。若该公司宣传就属于香港金银业贸易场批准并挂牌的贵金属上市公司，可以通过登录香港金银业贸易场查询这家公司的合法注册信息和成立年限等。
一般客户通过香港金银业贸易场找到的有牌照的A类贵金属交易公司，信誉一般有保证，由于现代人的工作过于忙碌，一般都在夜间8点左右才有空看盘，所以网上交易是很方便的炒金选择，但有时会出现平台连接不上或入市划点问题，客户可以直接拨打到当地公司进行人工下单和平仓等所有操作问题。而不受香港金银业贸易场监管的黑平台则经常出现交易卡顿、行情发布延迟、止损止盈位置被无故更改等等问题，尤其遇上如非农时候的波动行情，客户的交易根本难以进行，后果容易造成客户爆仓，导致客户本金全无，建议各位客户在选择平台时候一定要注意平台的好坏。
当客户选择好一家资质较强的贵金属交易平台以后，签订开户合约后的账户资金是直接流入香港或者国际市场，而不是内地的代理公司，涉及的汇率换算问题由该公司在香港的交易平台里解决。出金的时候需按照香港当地提供给客户额出金当局，填写出金单，然后由代理公司负责传真到香港母公司，1个工作日后，资金将出现到客户所提供给香港公司的国内账户上。如果客户在出入金过程中，均办理好手续，而需要等候多个工作天以上，则要留意钱是否流入了伦敦金黑平台。
