随着近期黄金价格暴跌，全国各地掀起“抢金热潮”，而由于香港地区的黄金产品有着“价格差”的优势，内地居民赴港抢黄金越来越热。
香港的黄金首饰，在成色标识、计价单位、回购等方面与内地存在很大差异，内地居民需谨慎入手。
仅从报价看，无论是金条还是金饰，香港黄金确实比内地便宜。以香港某知名品牌金饰为例，该品牌黄金饰品在内地的牌价是372元/克(不含工费，下同)，在香港的牌价折合人民币每克318.92元，即内地比香港每克高约53元。
虽然每克报价相差达53元，但由于香港的工费要高于内地，因此实际支付后的每克差价要低于53元。内地金饰价格一般由挂牌价和工费两部分组成，而香港则分为纯金价格、佣金、工费三部分。
内地居民购买时，只有把所有价格加起来，才能进行换算比较。但金条、金币等投资型产品，香港与内地的工费差距并不大。
另外，在香港买金按两计，内地的“两”是50克，但在香港，一斤等于十六两，折算下来，香港的一两等于37.5克。即商家标注的每两多少港元的标价牌，不是“除以50”的概念，而是要除以37.5。
