黄金的重量计量单位
计量黄金重量的主要计量单位为：盎司、克、千克（公斤）、吨等。国际上一般通用的黄金计量单位为盎司，我们常看到的世界黄金价格都是以盎司为计价单位。
1盎司＝31.103481克
目前在中国国内一般用克来做黄金计量单位。国内虽然采用的是公制，但中国国内这个黄金计量单位与国际市场约定俗成的计量单位“盎司”是不同的，国内投资者投资黄金必须首先适应这种计量单位上的差异。
黄金的纯度计量
黄金及其制品的纯度被称为“成色”，市场上的黄金制品成色标识有两种：一种是百分比，如G999；另一种是K金，如G24K、G22K和G18K等。我国对黄金制品印记和标识牌有规定，一般要求有生产企业代号、材料名称、含量印记等，无印记为不合格产品。国际上也是如此。但对于一些特别细小的制品也允许不打标记。
1.用“K金”表示黄金纯度的方法
国家标准GB11887-89规定，每克拉（英文carat、德文karat的缩写，常写作“K”）含金量为4.166%，所以，各克拉金含金量分别为（括号内为国家标准）：
12K＝12×4.166%＝49.992%（500‰）
18K＝18×4.166%＝74.998%（750‰）
24K＝24×4.166%＝99.984%（999‰）
24K金常常被认为是纯金，实际含金量为99.98%。
2.用文字表达黄金纯度的方法
有的金首饰上或金条金砖上打有文字标记，其规定为：足金含金量不小于990‰，通常是将黄金重量分成1000份的表示法，如金件上标注9999的为99.99%，而标注为586的为58.6%。比如在上海黄金交易所中交易的黄金主要是9999与9995成色的黄金。
