11月10日，现货黄金出现大幅度上涨，由于美元出现走软，引发市场对经济复苏的担忧，加上对财政刺激计划的预期，让黄金的避险作用再度发挥，让金价得到明显支撑。
分析师表示，在辉瑞消息重塑市场格局24小时后，黄金正试图找到平衡。预计金价将继续走高，但这需要更长的时间。黄金的基本面因素仍然相当有利。刺激措施有可能推出，且疫苗问世后，将出现通货再膨胀。
周一，金价下跌4.6%，创下8月11日以来的最大单日跌幅，此前美国制药商辉瑞表示，根据初步试验结果，其新冠疫苗的有效性超过90%，将美国股市推至纪录高位。不过，随着对新冠疫情经济影响程度的担忧再度浮现，周二股市有所回落。
美国候任总统拜登周二表示，与美国众议院议长佩洛西好美国参议院少数党（民主党）领袖舒默进行了交谈，人们现在需要援助法案。
技术面而言，黄金确实承受着巨大的卖盘压力，但这并不影响黄金的长期走势。对多头来说，守住关键的技术面支撑也就是9月低点1851美元/盎司水平是很重要的。跌破该水平的话，意味着短期还会进一步下行。
分析师表示，美联储有望抑制名义利率的任何实质性上涨，他们预计美国还将推出另一轮规模5000亿至1万亿美元的刺激计划。他们在11月10日的报告中表示，我们仍预计，未来3至6个月，通胀预期将比名义利率上升更快，这可能会使美国实际利率再次降至负1%以下，负实际利率提高了对黄金的需求。
