黃金受到兩頭狙擊，美指創新高，英鎊暴跌

9月2日，由於貿易對峙升級，金價走高。但由於英鎊兌美元匯率暴跌，美元指數上漲，金價漲勢受到壓制。英國鴿派圍繞脫歐出現較大紛爭。同時英國製造業數據創新低，英鎊跌勢更重。
在英國國內各派政治勢力圍繞脫歐議題的紛爭進入白熱化之際，英國8月製造業PMI創七年新低，英鎊兌美元日內最大跌幅逾0.8%，刷新8月15日以來低點至1.2052，美指盤中創2017年5月15日以來新高至99.113。
美國失業率徘徊在50年低位附近， 美國總統特朗普一直鼓吹“就業，就業，就業”和不斷上漲的股市是他管理經濟的成果。
特朗普一直抱怨，美國利率相對偏高。他在上周五再度指責美聯儲：“我們沒有關稅擔憂，我們面臨的是美聯儲這個問題。他們完全搞不清狀況。”
鑒於市場發出求救信號，投資者將重點關注本週五出爐的非農就業數據。美國8月非農就業崗位料增加16.5萬個，基本持平7月的16.4萬個。失業率料再創新低至3.6%。
不過投資者需要留意8月製造業就業情況，因為7月非農就業報告顯示，製造商已經在削減工時。而特朗普經常吹噓，他在任內創造了多少個製造業就業崗位。
英國部分議員打算在數小時內通過一項法律，阻止無協議脫歐，他們計畫迫使首相詹森在無法在10月31日前達成協議的情況下，向歐盟要求延長脫歐期限。
經濟和政治的不確定性處於高水準，疊加全球貿易態勢緊張，導致英國8月製造業表現不佳，企業狀況惡化至七年來最差，因新訂單下跌幅度創2012年中以來最大，企業削減生產規模。
儘管英鎊仍高於8月觸及的兩年半低位1.2014，在即將到來的議會會期間可能走勢會更劇烈。這種情況將一直持續9月9-11日，在這之後議會將有一個月的休會期。詹森以備受爭議的作法讓議會延長休會。
許多人拿不准詹森能否真的強推英國無協議脫歐，因為市場不太願意對英鎊大舉單邊押注。不過交易員認為押注波動性走升是十拿九穩的事。一個月至三個月期英鎊隱含波動率已經飆升至年內高位。
