鴿派溫和，金價大幅回落

7月19月，美元大幅走高，刷新到兩個交易日的高點，而現貨黃金的跌幅持續擴大，並於高位回落。市場預測美聯儲在本月降息將限制在25個基點而不是大幅降息。
此前受美聯儲發出鴿派信號推動，金價曾短暫升穿1450美元，觸及六年高點。紐約聯儲主席威廉姆斯週四表示，當需要刺激措施時，迅速採取行動是值得的。不過紐約聯儲後來表示這些言論是學術性討論，而不是關於7月30日至31日聯邦公開市場委員會可能政策行動，市場因此對美聯儲本月會降息50個基點的預期降溫。
聖路易斯聯儲主席布拉德(今年在FOMC擁有投票權)週五表示，根據對通脹重新定位的論點以及迄今為止觀察經濟數據所得出的看法，我希望在即將舉行的會議上降息25個基點，這是委員會的決定，我會看看我的同事們對此有何看法。
如果美聯儲降息，布拉德不贊成結束資產負債表縮減。根據美聯儲官員近期的公開聲明及採訪來看，美聯儲因擔憂全球經濟增長放緩、貿易不確定性上升及通脹回落等問題，準備在即將召開的議息會議上降息25個基點，進一步降息亦成可能。目前綜合各官員態度分析，美聯儲尚未準備採取更為大膽的行動，在7月會議上行降息50個基點的可能性較小。
不過短期黃金可能面臨一些風險。該行認為，全球經濟政策的不確定性在增加，包括貿易問題、英國脫歐、美國債務上限等都可能帶來風險。在這種情況下黃金會有比較好的表現，黃金和白銀能作為多樣化的工具，也能對沖風險。在有多個利好因素的情況下，黃金還有上行空間。
如果美聯儲7月利率決議表現非常鴿派，那麼金價有望觸及1485美元/盎司水準；但如果美聯儲沒有顯得太過鴿派，那麼金價可能回落至1400下方，甚至可能測試1380支撐水準。不過金價回落幅度不會太大，並且任何回落都會被投資者們認為是逢低買入的機會。
