零售数据向好，美指大涨黄金下跌

4月18日，美国宏观经济数据表明3月零售数据以及初请数据好于市场预期，美元指数短线走高，而金价而下跌3美元。同时加拿大2月零售数据好于预期，但受美元影响，汇价不断下跌。
具体数据显示，美国3月零售销售月率增加1.6%，好于预期的增加1%，前值为下滑0.2%；而3月核心零售销售月率为1.2%，也好于市场预期的0.7%，前值则下滑0.4%。
美国3月份零售额增幅创一年半以来最大，原因是美国家庭增加了汽车和一系列其他商品的购买量，这一最新迹象表明， GDP增速在经历了一个错误的开局之后，在一季度有所回升.
3月份强劲的核心零售销售可能导致一季度GDP预期进一步上调。美国2月贸易逆差连续第二个月收窄后，一季度 GDP增速升至2.4%左右；由于贸易、库存和建筑支出报告相当乐观，四季度的 GDP增速预计为2.2%。
分析师预测，到2026年，电子商务占据零售总额的比重将从当前的16%上升至25%。该报告称，如果发生这种情况，未来七年将有大约75000家零售店关闭(不含餐饮)。
美国当周初请失业金人数再创49年半以来新低，表明经济持续强势，该数据已经连续五周下降。初请人数的四周均值也创下1969年11月以来新低。
劳工部称，由于复活节和春假，初请人数可能会在近期出现波动。尽管企业招聘的趋势放缓，但适工年龄的劳动力总体保持上升。美联储周三的报告显示4月美联储辖区大部分的就业都处在“温和到中性的增长”。而美联储褐皮书则提到了全国范围有明显的劳动力缺口，普遍在制造业和建筑业。
从好的方面来看，即使全球不确定性继续影响出口商和企业支出，美联储最近采取的“耐心”立场应该有助于避免12月份出现的消费者支出再度下滑。紧缩的劳动力市场，和更快的工资增长，应该支持未来的支出。个人消费约占美国经济产出的70%，因此只要家庭消费继续增长，GDP增长就应该保持积极。
