人民币在连续两个交易日重挫后，本交易日(8月13日)跌速显著放缓，稳定了市场情绪。
截至收盘，在岸人民币兑美元尾盘拉升收跌0.19%，报6.399元，去年11月来首次强于今日中间价6.4010元；北京时间16:30，离岸人民币兑美元升1.19%，报6.4467元。按11日跌1.87%，12日跌1%和今日跌0.19%，三日累加跌幅为3.06%。
人民币尾盘贬幅收窄并强于中间价，交易员称中资大行美元抛售再现。三位交易员在接受电话采访时称，在岸人民币兑美元即期市场中，尾盘时看到至少一家中资大行抛售美元，支撑人民币跌幅收窄。其中一位外资交易员称，临近收盘时至少一家中资大行从6.42元附近起开始明显抛售美元，并有部分股份行跟随结汇。两位交易员称，中资大行的美元抛盘一直持续到价格回到6.40元附近。
