随着国际金价跌至逾5年来低位，全球最有影响力的黄金投资者之一、著名对冲基金经理保尔森(John Paulson)上周五(7月31日)表示，当前黄金正处在一个合适的价格水平。
保尔森旗下的Paulson & Co. Inc持有1000万股SPDR Gold Trust，当前价格已缩水至约10亿美元。截至2014年12月31日，保尔森的Paulson & Co.总共持有1020万股SPDR黄金ETF，总价值11.6亿美元。这意味着，2015年上半年其旗下黄金基金ETF缩水幅度达13.8%
保尔森称，“现在，我认为黄金正处在公允价值，未来黄金市场将开始平衡。”
他指出，“由于担心通胀过低，西方投资者对黄金的需求下降，但东方投资者的需求仍在继续增长，因为他们将其用作珠宝首饰以及保值用途。”
保尔森认为，美联储可能最早在今年开始加息，这意味着金价大幅反弹的空间被缩小。此外，由于上周金价在短短几秒内暴跌4%，导致紧张的投资者担忧是否会有其他西方对冲基金加入做空，因此不排除有下跌的可能性。
