一、 多空争夺激烈
一般情况下，仅分析这个Ｋ线的话，这个上下影线都长的Ｋ线，表示在某时间段内，多空分歧大，争夺激烈，后市一般为盘整行情。如图，在一波下跌行情后，市场处于盘整调整以待下一波行情的到来，在出现反转信号后，行情开始逐步上涨，但受到卖盘的压制，有回落的迹象，然后又出现小幅上涨，买盘和卖盘争夺，而后出现上下影线都长的K线，表明多方和空方的争夺无法决出占优方，局势不明朗，后市继续盘整。
二、 行情反转预示
上下影线都长的K线同样可以表示行情有减缓、反转的预示。如图，在上涨行情中出现上下影线都长的阴线，表示空方力量增强，并与多方力量争夺，有压制多方力量的趋势，预示着上涨行情减缓，可能即将结束，多单持有应该把握好平仓时机。在图上所示，正是行情反转的预示，前一根K线形成螺桨型阴线之后，新一根阳线因空方力量增强而上行承压，最后形成上影线，并且后市行情在形成带下影线的阴线实体后反转为单边下跌。
