据路透社报道，美国上周初请失业金人口降至近15年低位，表明尽管经济成长在首季大幅放缓后反弹乏力，但就业市场仍在稳步改善。
尽管劳动力供应收紧，但美元走强和油价回落使通胀继续受压。低通胀以及第二季初经济成长温和的迹象暗示，美国联邦储备理事会(FED/美联储)可能要等待今年晚些时候才升息。
“就业市场表现良好，通胀短期内不会攀升。美联储开始收紧货币政策的迫切性不高，他们可能会等到9月再升息，”Moody’s Analytics的高级分析师Ryan Sweet表示。
美国劳工部周四报告称，截至5月9日当周，美国初请失业金人口减少1,000人，经季节性调整后为26.4万人，逼近两周前触及的15年低位。
初请失业金人口连续第10周处于30万这一关键水准之下。分析师之前的预期为初请失业金人口增至27.5万人。
上周初请失业金人口四周移动均值降至2000年4月以来最低。市场认为，这项指标消除了周与周之间的波动，能更准确地反应就业市场状况。
数据公布后，美国股市上扬。公债价格也攀升，但美元指数走低。
劳工部今日公布的另一项数据显示，4月最终需求生产者物价指数(PPI)下降0.4%，因能源产品和食品成本下降。
这是PPI年内第三个月回落，3月为增长0.2%。
4月PPI还受零售商和批发商利润率下降拖累。上月PPI同比下降1.3%，为2010年以来最大按年降幅，3月为回落0.8%。
“尽管就业市场供应进一步收紧，但通胀完全受控，使联储的决策变得复杂化，”Naroff Economic Advisers的首席分析师Joel Naroff表示，“尽管还不需要马上采取行动，但联储必须时刻准备着。”
分析师之前预计，4月PPI按月下降0.2%，同比回落0.8%。
