美元指数回升，主要因为美国公布的房市数据表现良好，良好的数据支撑美指回升至98关口。现货金价录得逾六周来最大单日跌幅，大跌1.3%，创6周以来最大单日跌幅。另外，瑞士央行宣布负利率豁免权的消息打压瑞郎，同时也对美元构成支撑。瑞士央行称，负利率豁免减少，负利率也将适用于公共实体，受此拖累，瑞郎全盘跌近1%，美元兑瑞郎上涨1%。股市走高也削弱了金价避险的吸引力。本周美股企业财报众多，由于这些公司的财报保险尚可，提振市场情绪，打压避险金价。
