贵金属在什么情况下需追加保证金？“追加保证金”一般出现在现货黄金、现货白银等以保证金形式运行的交易中。保证金交易，是指贵金属交易的当事人在买卖交易时，只向贵金属公司交付一定的保证金，即可进行由贵金属公司提供的杠杆式贵金属交易。在交易买卖的过程中，若出现保证金不足客户需进行追加保证金方可继续交易。
一、贵金属在什么情况下需追加保证金？
根据贵金属交易所的规定，当客户交易账户中的预付款比例不足时交易商将实行强制平仓，在强行平仓前，客户需追加保证金，以确保预付款值的比例恢复，而一般预付款的比例由交易商制定，如大田环球预付款的比例则为20%。当交易账户中的预付款比例等于或者低于20%的时候，交易平台会从亏损金额最多的交易单开始强行平仓，直到预付款比例恢复20%以上。投资者可以在贵金属MT4交易平台中的“终端——交易”内查看预付款比例。预付款比例=净值/已用预付款。
二、为什么会被强行平仓？
客户的交易账户之所以会被强行平仓主要有三点：
1、重仓交易
客户在进行贵金属交易时，最好根据个人的资金总额制定每次交易的手数，任何投资都存在不确定的风险性，若过于重仓交易引发爆仓的可能性将被放大，从而导致被强行平仓。
2、趋势不一、技术问题
对于刚刚炒金入门的新手来说，若不了解贵金属交易的规则最好先以模拟账户的交易开始着手，否则因不熟悉基本面因素、技术没把握过关而盲目入场，容易造成亏损继而被强行平仓。
三、没有及时追加保证金会怎样？
