而现货黄金的交易时间跟所有的国内期货品种一样，目前，国内黄金期货交易时间为四小时，上海黄金交易所的黄金T+D交易时间是上午9:00-11:30，下午13:30-15:30，晚上21:00-2:30。国际现货黄金T+0交易时间是24小时的。
那么，其最主要的优点在以下几个方面可以突出：
1、交易特点：双向交易，可以买涨，也可以买跌。
2、交易方式：实行 T+0 制度，在交易时间内，随时可以买卖。
3、交易模式：以小博大，只需要很小的资金就可以买卖全额的黄金。
4、交易公平性质：价格公开、公正， 24 小时与国际联动，不容易被操纵。市场集中公平，期货买卖价格在一个地区、国家，开放条件下世界主要金融贸易中心和地区价格是基本一致的。
5、套期保值作用：即利用买卖同样数量和价格的期货合约来抵补黄金价格波动带来的损失，也称“对冲”。而所谓的对冲机制，也就是说你可以用同一和约的买单抵消同一和约的卖单，而且不需要考虑收购、运输、储存等烦琐问题。
6、保证金制度：黄金期货是实现保证金制度的，其意思就是说，你只需要用1/10甚至1/20的资金就可以来交易全额的黄金。
