美消费信心下降 密歇根指数创10个月新低

时至年末，美国消费者信心却节节败退，路透社/密歇根大学25日公布消费者信心指数创近10个月新低，10月份终值由前月的77.5下滑至73.2(初值为75.2)，低于彭博社调查预估的75。
朝野恶斗导致月初政府关门多日，甚至一度引发倒债危机，不仅重伤经济展望，也打击到消费者信心。现在距年底购物季只剩不到几周，零售商年终业绩恐受到拖累。
当月现况分项指数自92.6下滑至89.9点。消费者现况分项指数通常与股市、就业市场具有高度关联性，也反映出美国众对自身财务状况与是否进行大额采购的看法。
代表消费者对于未来6个月景气看法的期望指数，自前月的67.8降至62.5，创今年以来新低；一年期通膨率预估由3.3%降至3%；5至10年期通膨率预期由3%下滑至2.8%。
密大消费者信心指数自1978年公布迄今，美国共计历经5次衰退，经济萎缩期间信心指数平均值为69.3。最近一次经济衰退为期18个月并于2009年6月结束，期间指数平均为64.2，而此前5年指数平均值为89。
