2月4日，國際金價繼續呈現下行趨勢，而亞歐股市則普遍走強，對公共衛生事件帶來的衝擊起到了一定的緩和，但產業鏈也受到了持續的影響，全球製造業也還沒有走出困境，加上英國和歐盟之間的談判矛盾尖銳，市場情緒可能轉向負面。
亞歐股市週二普遍走強，滬綜指收高1.34%至2783.29點；金價上日錄得1月8日以來新高至1592.11美元/盎司。
歐洲央行副總裁德金多斯(Luis de Guindos)警告稱，儘管突發公共衛生事件已經對全球市場產生了“巨大”影響，但也不應倉促應對，“我認為我們必須非常審慎，市場不喜歡不確定性。”
現在最大的問題是，風險情緒改善的狀況能夠持續多久，除非我們能夠確認事態正朝好的方向發展，否則風險情緒確實很有可能重新轉向負面，黃金空頭維持短線快進快出策略。
美國製造業活動在連續五個月萎縮後，1月意外出現反彈，新訂單勁升，這為長期低迷的企業投資可能已觸底帶來希望。
在跡象顯示美國消費者支出疲弱之際，企業投資反彈將對維持來到第11個年頭的史上持續時間最長的經濟擴張至關重要。ISM製造業資料在1月份改善，可能反映了美中貿易緊張關係的緩和。
經濟學家估計，波音20多年來最大的裝配線停工可能會使美國第一季國內生產總值(GDP)增幅至少減少0.5個百分點。2019年美國經濟增長2.3%，是三年來最低，2018年增長2.9%。
英鎊兌美元創下12月25日以來新低1.2941。此前英國首相伯里斯·詹森對歐盟貿易談判的強硬態度再次引發人們對英歐貿易前景的擔憂。
雙方都希望能達成貿易協定，但英國已設定今年年底為最後期限，歐盟警告說，如果首相詹森想要無關稅、無配額的協議，他將必須簽署確保公平競爭的規定。
英國正式脫歐不久，英歐雙方亮明瞭各自的目標。若雙方無法在短期內彌合對未來關係看法的顯著分歧，可能導致彼此關係疏遠，全球經濟也會增加新的不確定性，避險黃金也將獲得新的支撐。
