10月15日，英鎊兌美元刷新近兩周的新低點，由於疫情激增，歐洲多國實現宵禁，這一決定也讓全球投資者擔心拖累經濟復蘇，加上投資者對美國大選前通過刺激方案的預期也在不斷消褪，避險情緒迅速升溫。
據新華社15日消息，法國總統馬克龍14日晚宣佈，將從17日起在法蘭西島大區(大巴黎地區)和其他8個大城市實施宵禁，以遏制新冠疫情。馬克龍表示，宵禁將從17日開始實施，為期4周，時間為每日21時至次日6時。除巴黎外，裏爾、里昂、圖盧茲等城市也將受到這一措施影響。違反宵禁規定者將被處以135歐元罰款。
荷蘭國家公共衛生與環境研究所14日發佈的最新數據顯示，荷蘭在過去24小時新增新冠肺炎確診病例7305例，已連續兩日單日新增病例數超過7300例。自新冠疫情暴發以來，荷蘭累計確診病例數已超196000例。當前，荷蘭單日新增感染人數最多的三個城市是阿姆斯特丹、鹿特丹和海牙，分別為639例、560例和325例。從14日開始，荷蘭開始實施為期至少4周的“局部封城”。在此期間，全國範圍內所有餐館、咖啡廳和酒吧將關閉；禁止在20時以後出售酒類產品以及在公共場所飲酒。

美國大選方面，分析認為，目前隨著拜登勝選概率的持續上升，市場已經開始演繹其當選的邏輯，包括第二輪疫情救助方案推出，加大財政刺激，以及發起科技股反壟斷調查和利率回升等主要政策或預期，整體風險資產受益，美債或面臨一定調整壓力。此外需要強調的是，當下美國大選仍未塵埃落定，而全球疫情仍在持續惡化，與此同時英國硬脫歐風險仍不容忽視，後續需要警惕資產價格的波動風險。
歐元方面，華僑銀行外匯策略師Terence Wu認為，歐元兌美元將跌至1.17，歐元區新冠病毒病例不斷增加，促使整個歐洲大陸出臺更多限制措施，而美國的財政刺激談判進展緩慢，匯價對這些發展作出回應，似乎已經在1.1830水準見頂。
