美元跌至一個月新低，黃金多頭發威盼連漲
周五（7月30日）亞洲時段，現貨黃金持穩于1828附近。周四（7月29日）金價大漲逾1%，創近半個月新高，因美國二季度GDP及初請失業金數據都表現不佳，美元跌至一個月新低。不過，股市及美債收益率上漲限制了金價的漲幅。
美國第二季度GDP增長低于預期
受供應鏈瓶頸的約束，美國第二季度經濟增長遜于預期，並使消費者支出數十年來的最大增幅之一也黯然失色。
美國商務部周四公布的初步估計數據顯示，第二季度國內生産總值折合年率增長6.5％，第一季度數據修正後為6.3％。聯邦政府支出、住宅投資和庫存拖累了第二季度的數據。
在經濟中占比最大的個人消費折合年率增長11.8％。
通脹調整後的國內生産總值達到折合年率19.36萬億美元，超過了大流行病前的峰值。
經濟學家得出的預期中值為第二季度GDP增長8.4％。
在疫苗接種、聯邦財政救濟和更廣泛的經濟重新開放的刺激下，美國人既有能力又有機會增加外出就餐等服務支出。額外的現金加上強勁的招聘也幫助維持了商品支出。
展望未來，經濟增長將面臨政府支持減弱、供應和勞動力限制揮之不去的挑戰。與此同時，快速蔓延的delta變種病毒也對支出前景構成風險。
初請失業金人數高于預期
美國上周申請失業救濟人數下降，表明勞動力市場繼續好轉，盡管新冠病毒delta變種肆虐。
勞工部周四發布的數據顯示，截至7月24日當周首次申領常規州失業救濟的總人數為40萬人，較前一周減少2.4萬人。經濟學家對首次申領失業救濟人數的預期中值為38.5萬人。
在勞動力需求上升的背景下，自年初以來，每周失業救濟申請人數大幅下降。與此同時，最近導致全國新病例激增的delta病毒變種也構成了風險。
大約一半的美國州長已經先于9月到期日提前結束了在疫情期間設立的所有三個聯邦失業救濟計劃，認為這些補充福利不利于企業填補創紀錄數量的職位空缺。
