非農爆冷，美指跳水

3月8月，美國公佈2月非農就業報告，2月新增非農就業人口僅2萬，雖然失業率回落，薪資水準創新新高，但是非農就業人數的低落由於政府關門影響。而美元指數出現大幅度跳水，現貨黃金出現巨大漲幅。
美國2月非農新增就業人口爆冷降至2萬，降至17個月新低，但薪資年率3.4%，創2009年4月以來最大增速，料部分緩解美聯儲對通脹降溫的憂慮。報告顯示美國經濟增長已經減速，就業增長隨之減速。就業增長放緩最明顯的是零售業、工業領域以及小型企業。就業增長高峰期已經過去。
本次非農就業數據的大幅不及預期，但薪資和失業率都是好消息，現在美國就業市場已經接近充分就業，美國很多企業雇主很難招聘到價格便宜的員工，只能提高薪資。儘管這次美國就業人數遠遠不及預期，但美國經濟仍然是全球經濟的增速的引擎，美元仍然是可以信賴的避險貨幣。
分析師稱，2月氣溫轉冷，使那些對天氣敏感的行業就業增加勢頭逆轉。而且分析師也認為，2018年末的股市下挫以及美國公債收益率跳漲也抑制了2月的招聘活動。據美聯儲數據，家庭財富驟降了創紀錄的3.8萬億美元，且很多公司的資金來源都遭凍結。
美國2月份就業增長幾乎停滯，由於建築業和其他幾個行業的就業人數萎縮，美國經濟僅創造了2萬個就業崗位，這可能引發人們對經濟活動急劇放緩的擔憂。
美國供應管理協會(ISM)調查顯示，2月製造業和服務業就業指標下滑，美聯儲週三公佈的褐皮書顯示，美聯儲多數轄區的就業以“溫和至適度的速度增長”，勞動力短缺限制了一些地區的就業增長。
美國經濟有望書寫連續10年的最長期擴張紀錄。但金融條件趨緊開始給就業市場帶來壓力，與經濟增長放慢的趨勢相符，這可能為美聯儲對今年進一步升息保持“耐心”的立場提供理據。
政策制定者正在為3月19日至20日的聯邦公開市場委員會(FOMC)會議做準備。市場已經排除了近期加息的可能性，尤其是考慮到中國和歐洲經濟走弱可能波及全球最大經濟體的可能性。
